The TWECO 1240-1433 is a coarse-threaded copper MIG welding nozzle designed for use with standard gas diffusers on medium to heavy duty MIG welding systems. Machined from 145 tellurium copper alloy bar stock, the nozzle delivers consistent dimensional stability and efficient heat dissipation at continuous amperage up to 450 amps. The bore measures 3/4 inches with a 1.07-inch outer diameter and an overall length of 1.75 inches. The part number is roll-stamped on the outer surface for fast field identification. Sold in packs of 2, this nozzle is installed by welding technicians performing structural, fabrication, or maintenance welding where higher heat output demands a durable front-end consumable.
This nozzle is suited for medium to heavy duty MIG welding applications drawing up to 450 amps. The recessed contact tip relationship of 0.125 to 0.156 inches makes it well matched for higher heat applications requiring longer electrical stick-out, or for situations where the nozzle may contact the work piece during tack, spot, or stitch welding. The two-piece design consists of a nozzle housing that threads onto a separately sold nozzle insulator, which itself threads onto the conductor tube to provide insulation between the nozzle and the gun body.
Designed for use with standard gas diffusers on TWECO 24CT-series MIG gun front-end assemblies. Nozzle housing and nozzle insulator are sold separately.
Installation and replacement of MIG nozzles should be performed by a qualified welding technician with the welding machine powered down and the gun cable de-energized before handling front-end consumables. Thread the nozzle housing onto the nozzle insulator by hand until seated; avoid over-tightening, which can damage the insulator threads. Inspect the nozzle insulator and conductor tube for wear or spatter buildup before installing a new nozzle. Follow applicable AWS and equipment manufacturer guidelines for front-end consumable service intervals.
