The TWECO 1240-1317 is a REL24 robotic MIG welding nozzle assembly rated for medium to heavy-duty welding applications up to 600 amps. The 3-piece design includes a nozzle housing machined from tellurium copper alloy bar for effective heat dissipation, a solid brass insert with machined internal threads to match the gas diffuser, and a G7 silicone insulator that provides electrical isolation from the gas diffuser without requiring an additional insulator. The 3/4-inch bore diameter features a straight internal bore and a flush-to-1/16-inch tip recess, making it suited for applications where shorter electrical stick-out is required. Licensed welding technicians and robotic cell integrators install this nozzle in fixed and robotic automation MIG gun setups.
This nozzle assembly is designed for use with robotic and fixed automation MIG guns in medium to heavy-duty welding environments up to 600 amps. Its bottle-shaped geometry and straight ID bore allow proper sidewall cleaning, making it well suited for integration with nozzle cleaning stations commonly found in robotic weld cells. The flush tip configuration brings the contact tip closer to the work piece, supporting shorter electrical stick-out and tighter arc lengths typical in automated welding cycles.
Designed to work with robotic and fixed automation MIG guns as stated by the manufacturer.
Installation is performed by qualified welding technicians or robotic cell maintenance personnel. Disconnect and lock out all power to the welding system and robotic cell before removing or installing front-end consumables. Verify that internal threads on the brass insert are fully engaged with the gas diffuser before returning the gun to service. Inspect the G7 silicone insulator for cracking or deformation during each nozzle change.
