The TWECO 1240-1315 is a 3-piece robotic MIG welding nozzle assembly rated for up to 600 amps, designed for use with robotic and fixed-automation MIG guns. The nozzle housing is machined from tellurium copper alloy bar for effective heat dissipation. A solid brass insert allows the internal threads to be machined to match the gas diffuser precisely. A G7 silicone insulator provides electrical isolation between the nozzle and the gas diffuser, eliminating the need for a separate insulator. The bore diameter is 0.5 inches, the nozzle length is 1 inch, and the flush tip geometry positions the tip close to the work piece for shorter electrical stick-out. Licensed HVAC and welding automation technicians deploying robotic weld cells will find the part number roll-stamped on the exterior for quick identification during maintenance cycles.
This nozzle assembly is suited for light to medium and medium to heavy duty welding applications up to 600 A where automated or semi-automated processes are in use. The flush tip configuration is appropriate when a shorter electrical stick-out is required, bringing the contact tip closer to the work piece and enabling tighter arc lengths. The bottle-shaped geometry and straight internal bore at the front end allow thorough cleaning of the sidewalls to maintain consistent shielding gas flow. This nozzle is specifically intended for use with robotic weld cell nozzle cleaning stations, making it a practical choice for high-volume production environments where uptime and repeatability matter.
Designed to work with robotic and fixed-automation MIG guns as an OEM-style replacement nozzle assembly for the TWECO REL24 platform. Intended for automated weld cell installations where nozzle cleaning stations are incorporated.
Installation is performed by qualified welding automation technicians or MIG welding service personnel. De-energize and lock out the welding power source and robot controller before servicing any front-end consumables. Thread the nozzle assembly onto the gas diffuser by hand until snug, ensuring the G7 insulator is properly seated to maintain electrical isolation. Do not use tools that could crack or deform the silicone insulator during assembly.
