The TWECO 1240-1311 is a 3-piece robotic MIG welding nozzle assembly rated for light to medium duty applications up to 600 amps. The assembly consists of a nozzle housing machined from tellurium copper alloy bar for effective heat dissipation, a solid brass insert with internal threads machined to match the gas diffuser, and a G7 silicone insulator that provides electrical isolation between the nozzle and gas diffuser. The bore measures 5/8 inches in diameter with a straight ID bore at the front end to promote consistent shielding gas flow. The tip has a 5/32 inch protrusion and the nozzle features a bottle-shaped geometry. No additional insulator is required.
This nozzle assembly is designed for use with robotic and fixed automation MIG guns. The protruding tip configuration is suited for welding open root pipe and tight weld joints where the contact tip must be positioned deep into the joint. The straight bore ID allows thorough cleaning of the nozzle side walls, making it well suited for use with automated nozzle cleaning stations commonly integrated into robotic weld cells. The part number is roll-stamped on the outside surface for fast identification during changeovers.
Designed to work with robotic and fixed automation MIG guns. Verify gas diffuser thread pattern matches the machined brass insert before installation.
Installation is performed by welding equipment technicians or automation maintenance personnel responsible for robotic weld cell upkeep. Power down and de-energize the welding system before servicing front-end consumables. Ensure the gas diffuser threads are clean and undamaged before threading on the nozzle insert. Do not overtighten the assembly, as the brass insert and copper housing can be damaged by excess torque.
