The TWECO 1240-1306 is a 3-piece robotic MIG welding nozzle designed for use with robotic and fixed automation MIG guns. Rated for applications up to 600 amps, it features a 5/8-inch bore diameter with a recessed tip design that provides a 5/32-inch tip recess, making it well-suited for applications where longer electrical stick-out is required. The nozzle housing is machined from tellurium copper alloy bar for effective heat dissipation. The insert is machined from solid brass with internal threads matched to the gas diffuser. A G7 silicone insulator provides electrical insulation from the gas diffuser without requiring an additional separate insulator.
This nozzle is intended for light to medium duty welding applications in robotic weld cells up to 600 amps. Its bottle-shaped geometry and straight inner bore at the front end allow proper cleaning of the side walls to maintain consistent shielding gas flow. It is an ideal nozzle for use with automated nozzle cleaning stations commonly integrated into robotic weld cells. The recessed tip configuration is appropriate where the nozzle may contact the work piece during tack, spot, or stitch welding, or where longer stick-out is needed for higher heat applications.

Installation is performed by qualified welding technicians or automation maintenance personnel. Power down and de-energize the welding system before removing or installing front-end consumables. Confirm that the internal threads of the nozzle insert are properly engaged with the gas diffuser before returning the gun to service. Inspect the G7 silicone insulator for damage during each consumable change to maintain proper electrical isolation.
