The TWECO 1240-1305 is a REL24 robotic MIG welding nozzle assembly engineered for use with robotic and fixed automation MIG guns. This 3-piece assembly is rated for light to medium duty welding applications up to 600 amperes and features a 1/2-inch bore diameter with a 5/32-inch tip recess. The housing is machined from tellurium copper alloy bar for effective heat dissipation, while the insert is formed from solid brass with internal threads machined to match the gas diffuser. A G7 silicone insulator provides electrical isolation between the nozzle assembly and the gas diffuser. The bottle-shaped geometry and straight-ID bore at the nozzle front support consistent shielding gas flow and clean operation.
This nozzle assembly is designed for robotic and fixed automation welding cells handling light to medium duty MIG applications up to 600 A. The recessed tip configuration suits higher-heat applications and situations requiring longer electrical stick-out, including tack, spot, and stitch welding passes. The straight bore profile makes it compatible with automated nozzle cleaning stations commonly integrated into robotic weld cells. The part number is roll-stamped on the exterior surface for fast field identification during changeovers.
Designed to work with robotic and fixed automation MIG guns. Consult the TWECO REL24 series documentation to confirm fitment with a specific gun body and gas diffuser configuration.
Installation is performed by qualified welding technicians or automation maintenance personnel. De-energize the welding power source and robotic system and allow all components to cool before servicing front-end consumables. Verify that the internal threads of the nozzle insert engage correctly with the gas diffuser before torquing to avoid cross-threading the brass insert. Follow the robotic cell OEM guidelines and any applicable facility lockout/tagout procedures before entering the weld cell.
