The TWECO 1240-1236 is a heavy-duty MIG welding nozzle engineered for high-amperage welding applications up to 450 amps. It features a 5/8-inch (0.625-inch) bore and measures 3.164 inches in length with a 1.117-inch outer diameter. The nozzle is constructed from 122 DHP copper alloy and uses a three-piece design consisting of a copper alloy tubing housing, a solid brass machined insert, and a G7 silicone insulator. This combination delivers reliable electrical insulation from the gas diffuser without requiring an additional external insulator. Licensed welding technicians and fabrication shops install this nozzle on compatible MIG guns for demanding production and structural welding environments.
This nozzle is suited for medium to heavy-duty welding applications up to 450 amps. It is designed for use with standard gas diffusers and provides a flush contact tip relationship of 0.062 inches, making it appropriate for applications where a shorter electrical stick-out is used, which brings the tip closer to the work piece. Flush-style nozzles are commonly selected for shorter arc lengths in production welding. The nozzle insert is crimped in place, allowing the nozzle to slide over the metal spring of the gas diffuser. Sold in a pack of two units.
Designed for use with standard gas diffusers on heavy-duty MIG welding guns rated for applications up to 450 amps.
Installation is performed by qualified welders or welding equipment technicians. Always disconnect and de-energize the welding power source before servicing front-end consumables. Ensure the nozzle insert is fully seated over the gas diffuser spring before resuming operation. Do not overtighten or force the nozzle, as the brass insert and silicone insulator can be damaged by improper assembly.
