The TWECO 1240-1211 is a slip-on MIG welding nozzle designed for 24 Series air-cooled MIG guns. Built as a 3-piece assembly, it integrates the nozzle housing, insulator, and insert into a single unit that does not require a separate insulator to install. The housing is cut and formed from 122 DHP copper alloy tubing for reliable heat and electrical conductivity. The insulator is made from G7 silicone material, providing the electrical isolation needed between the nozzle and the gas diffuser. The nozzle insert is machined from solid brass and crimped in place so the nozzle slides cleanly over the metal spring on the gas diffuser. The 0.5 inch bore supports standard shielding gas coverage across a range of wire diameters.
This nozzle is suited for professional MIG welding applications using 24 Series air-cooled torches. Flush-style geometry works well where shorter electrical stick-out is required, producing shorter arc lengths and bringing the contact tip closer to the work piece. It is commonly used in fabrication shops, maintenance and repair operations, and production welding environments where consistent nozzle fit and quick changeover matter.
Designed for use with TWECO 24 Series air-cooled MIG welding guns as a slip-on nozzle replacement. Note that 2-piece nozzle variants in the 24 Series require a 34CT or 34FN insulator, sold separately — this 3-piece slip-on unit does not.
Installation is performed by welding technicians or machine operators servicing MIG welding equipment. Before replacing the nozzle, power down the welder and allow the torch front end to cool completely to avoid burns or accidental arc ignition. Slide the nozzle over the gas diffuser spring until fully seated — do not force or over-tighten, as the slip-on design relies on the spring detent for retention. Inspect the gas diffuser and contact tip for spatter buildup or wear before installing the new nozzle.
