The TWECO 1240-1110 is an adjustable copper MIG welding nozzle designed for use with Tweco No. 4 MIG guns rated up to 450 amps. The nozzle features a 1/2 inch bore, measures 3.42 inches in length, and has an outer diameter of 0.875 inches. The housing is cut and formed from 122 DHP copper alloy tubing, providing reliable conductivity and heat resistance in demanding weld environments. The contact tip-to-nozzle relationship is fully adjustable from recessed to protruding, allowing the welder to match the setup to the specific joint type and amperage requirement. Sold in a pack of 2.
This nozzle is suited for medium to heavy duty MIG welding applications up to 450 amps. It slides over the standard nozzle insulator and is compatible with the standard gas diffuser used on Tweco No. 4 gun platforms. Typical install scenarios include structural fabrication, pipe welding, and any application requiring consistent shielding gas coverage at higher amperages. Welders working open root pipe joints or tight weld joints benefit from the adjustable tip-protrusion feature. The part number is rolled and stamped on the outer surface for quick identification during consumable changeovers.
Designed for use with Tweco No. 4 MIG guns up to 450 amps using a standard gas diffuser. Compatible with standard nozzle insulator part number 34A (stock number 1340-1100).
Installation is performed by welding professionals during front-end consumable replacement on MIG gun assemblies. Shut down the welding machine and disconnect power before servicing the gun front end. Ensure the nozzle insulator is properly seated before threading or sliding the nozzle into position. Adjust tip-to-nozzle relationship before resuming welding to match the intended application — recessed for high-heat or spatter-prone setups, flush for short arc lengths, and protruding for tight or open root joints.
