The TWECO 1230-1210 is a 23 Series self-insulated thread-on MIG welding nozzle rated for heavy-duty applications up to 450 amps. The nozzle features a 0.5-inch bore, a 3.219-inch length, and a 0.97-inch outer diameter. It threads into the conductor tube assembly via a 9/16-inch-18 UNC-2B thread and uses a recessed contact tip relationship of 0.125 to 0.156 inches, making it suited for applications requiring longer electrical stick-out or where the nozzle may contact the workpiece. The three-piece construction combines a nozzle housing formed from 122 DHP copper alloy tubing, a solid brass machined insert, and a G7 silicone insulator. Sold as a 2-piece pack. Licensed welders and MIG welding technicians install this nozzle as part of routine front-end consumable maintenance.
The TWECO 1230-1210 is designed for standard gas diffuser setups in heavy-duty MIG welding environments. The recessed tip configuration is appropriate for higher-heat applications, tack welding, spot welding, and stitch welding, as well as situations where the nozzle may come into contact with the work surface. The nozzle installs via thread-on connection to the conductor tube assembly, making it compatible with standard Tweco 23 Series front-end configurations. The part number is rolled-stamped on the outer surface for quick field identification during consumable changeouts.
Designed for use with standard Tweco 23 Series gas diffusers and conductor tube assemblies requiring a thread-on self-insulated nozzle with a 0.5-inch bore.
Installation is performed by a qualified MIG welding technician as part of front-end consumable maintenance. Disconnect the welding machine from its power source and allow the front-end components to cool completely before removing or installing nozzles. Thread the nozzle onto the conductor tube assembly by hand until snug, taking care not to cross-thread the 9/16-inch-18 UNC-2B connection. Inspect the G7 silicone insulator for damage during each consumable changeout.
