The TWECO 1230-1132 is a self-insulated, standard MIG welding nozzle designed for use with Tweco No. 3 MIG guns rated up to 450 amps. Built from 122 DHP copper alloy, this nozzle features a 3/4 inch bore and a three-piece construction that eliminates the need for a separate external insulator. The nozzle housing is cut and formed from copper alloy tubing, the insert is machined from solid brass with internal threads matched to the conductor tube OD, and the insulator is constructed from G7 silicone material. The part number is roll-stamped on the outer surface for quick field identification. Sold in a pack of 2.
This nozzle is suited for heavy-duty MIG welding applications requiring extended electrical stick-out or situations where the nozzle may contact the workpiece. The self-insulating design provides the required electrical isolation from the gas diffuser without additional hardware. Typical applications include structural, fabrication, and industrial welding environments running Tweco No. 3 series MIG guns at high amperages up to 450A. The standard bore configuration works with standard gas diffusers in these gun assemblies.
Designed for use with Tweco No. 3 MIG guns rated up to 450 amps using a standard gas diffuser and conductor tube assembly.
Installation is performed by a qualified welding technician or MIG gun service professional. Disconnect and de-energize the welding machine before replacing nozzle components. Thread the nozzle onto the conductor tube assembly by hand until snug, taking care not to cross-thread the brass insert. Inspect the G7 silicone insulator for damage during each nozzle change to ensure proper electrical isolation from the gas diffuser.
