The TWECO 1230-1130 is a 23 Series self-insulated MIG welding nozzle engineered for heavy-duty applications up to 450 amps. Designed for use with Tweco No. 3 MIG guns and standard gas diffusers, the nozzle features a 3/4-inch bore and an outer diameter of 0.875 inches. At 3.219 inches in length, it uses a 9/16-18 UNC-2B thread for mounting to the conductor tube assembly. A recess contact tip relationship of 0.125 to 0.156 inches makes this nozzle well-suited for applications requiring longer electrical stick-out or where the nozzle may contact the workpiece. Sold in a pack of two, it is installed by welding technicians in production and heavy-duty fabrication environments.
This nozzle fits standard gas diffuser configurations on Tweco No. 3 MIG guns rated up to 450 amps, making it appropriate for high-amperage MIG welding in both shop and field settings. The recessed contact tip design is particularly useful in applications where longer stick-out is needed or where nozzle-to-workpiece contact is likely. The part number is rolled and stamped on the outer surface for quick identification during gun maintenance and changeover. Each pack contains two nozzles, supporting efficient inventory management for operations with high consumable turnover.

Installation is performed by a qualified welding technician or MIG gun maintenance professional. Power down and de-energize the welding system fully before removing or installing nozzle consumables. Thread the nozzle onto the conductor tube assembly by hand until snug, taking care not to cross-thread the 9/16-18 UNC-2B connection. Inspect the silicone insulator for damage during each consumable changeout to ensure proper electrical isolation from the gas diffuser.
