The TWECO 1230-1010 is a Weldskill 23 Series MIG welding nozzle designed for use with standard gas diffusers in medium to heavy duty welding applications rated up to 450 amps. The nozzle measures 3.219 inches in length with a 3/8 inch (0.375 inch) bore and a 3/4 inch OD. It features a three-piece construction: a nozzle housing cut and formed from copper alloy tubing, a nozzle insert machined from solid brass, and a nozzle insulator constructed from G7 silicone material. The 9/16 inch-18 UNC-2B thread size matches conductor tube OD threads. Sold in packs of two. This nozzle is installed by qualified MIG welders and welding technicians as a consumable replacement part.
The 1230-1010 is suited for medium to heavy duty MIG welding environments where amperage demands reach up to 450 A. The silicone insulator provides the electrical isolation required between the nozzle and gas diffuser, eliminating the need for a separate insulator component. The recessed contact tip relationship of 0.125 to 0.156 inches is appropriate for applications requiring consistent shielding gas coverage and weld quality protection. The part number is roll-stamped on the outer surface, making identification straightforward during inventory and job-site use.
Designed for use with standard gas diffusers and conductor tube assemblies compatible with the TWECO 23 Series Weldskill nozzle platform. The nozzle insert threads onto the conductor tube assembly and slides over the metal spring component of the gas diffuser.
Installation is performed by a qualified MIG welder or welding technician. Disconnect and power down the welding machine completely before removing or installing nozzle consumables. Thread the nozzle onto the conductor tube assembly by hand until snug, taking care not to cross-thread the UNC-2B internal threads. Inspect the silicone insulator for cracking or damage at each consumable change to maintain proper electrical isolation.
