The TWECO 1220-1120 is a copper MIG welding nozzle designed for use with Tweco No. 2 MIG guns rated up to 250 amps. Built from 122 DHP copper alloy tubing that is cut and formed into the nozzle housing, this nozzle offers reliable heat resistance and conductivity for light to medium duty welding applications. The bore measures 5/8 inch (0.625 inches) with a 3/4-inch outer diameter and an overall length of 2.1 inches. An adjustable recess-to-protruding contact tip relationship allows the technician to dial in the exact contact tip and nozzle configuration required for the weld joint at hand. The part number is rolled and stamped on the outer surface for fast field identification.
This nozzle is suited for light to medium duty MIG welding applications drawing up to 250 amps. Its adjustable tip geometry covers three common configurations: recessed for higher heat applications with longer electrical stick-out or when the nozzle may contact the work piece during tack, spot, or stitch welding; flush for shorter electrical stick-out and tighter arc lengths; and protruding for open root pipe or tight weld joints requiring deeper nozzle access. The nozzle slides over the standard nozzle insulator on compatible Tweco No. 2 gas diffuser setups. Sold in a pack of 2.
Designed for use with Tweco No. 2 MIG guns and standard gas diffusers rated up to 250 amps.
Installation is performed by qualified welding technicians or MIG gun service personnel. Disconnect and de-energize the welding system before removing or installing front-end consumables. Slide the nozzle over the nozzle insulator and adjust the position to achieve the desired contact tip relationship before tightening. Inspect the nozzle housing for spatter buildup or deformation regularly and replace as needed to maintain shielding gas coverage.
