The TWECO 1220-1101 is a Short Stop copper MIG welding nozzle designed for use with standard gas diffusers on Tweco No. 2 MIG guns rated up to 250 amps. Built from 122 DHP copper alloy, the nozzle housing is cut and formed directly from copper alloy tubing, making it well suited for higher heat applications that demand longer electrical stick-out or contact in cases where the nozzle may touch the work piece. The part number is rolled and stamped on the outer surface for fast field identification. This nozzle ships as a 2-per-pack unit and is sized at a 3/8 inch bore.
This nozzle is suited for light to medium duty welding applications up to 250 amps. It slides over the standard nozzle insulator and can be repositioned to achieve the preferred contact tip-to-nozzle relationship. The recessed contact tip relationship of 0.125 to 0.156 inches makes it a practical choice for tack, spot, and stitch welding scenarios, as well as any pass requiring extended stick-out or situations where nozzle-to-work-piece contact is likely. It is appropriate for professional welding environments where consistent front-end performance and quick part identification reduce downtime.

Installation should be performed by a qualified welding technician with the MIG gun powered down and the wire feeder disabled before handling front-end consumables. Slide the nozzle over the standard nozzle insulator and adjust positioning to achieve the desired contact tip-to-nozzle relationship before securing. Inspect the nozzle seating and insulator condition at each consumable change to avoid unplanned arc faults or spatter buildup.
