The TWECO 1210-1300 is a self-insulated, thread-on copper MIG welding nozzle designed for use with Tweco No. 1 MIG guns rated up to 180 amps. The nozzle features a 3/8 inch bore, measures 2.224 inches in length with a 3/4 inch OD, and is constructed from 122 DHP copper alloy tubing for reliable performance in higher-heat welding environments. Its 3-piece design integrates a copper alloy nozzle housing, a solid brass nozzle insert with machined internal threads, and a G7 silicone nozzle insulator that provides electrical separation from the gas diffuser without requiring an additional insulator component. The part number is rolled-stamped on the outer surface for quick field identification. Sold as a 2-pack.
This nozzle is suited for light to medium duty MIG welding applications drawing up to 180 amps. The recessed contact tip relationship of 0.125 to 0.156 inches makes it a practical choice for higher-heat work requiring longer electrical stick-out, as well as tack, spot, and stitch welding passes where the nozzle may contact the workpiece. It threads directly onto a standard gas diffuser compatible with Tweco No. 1 MIG gun front-end assemblies. The M11-1.5-6H thread size ensures a secure, repeatable fit during gun assembly and front-end maintenance.
Designed for use with Tweco No. 1 MIG guns rated up to 180 amps using a standard gas diffuser with M11-1.5-6H thread sizing.
Installation is performed by welding technicians during front-end assembly or routine consumable replacement on MIG guns. Always de-energize and disconnect the MIG gun from the wire feeder before removing or installing nozzle components. Thread the nozzle onto the gas diffuser by hand first to avoid cross-threading the brass insert, then snug with appropriate pliers — do not over-tighten, as this can crack the silicone insulator. Inspect the nozzle insulator and insert for spatter buildup or cracking during each consumable change interval.
