The TWECO 1160-1775 is a MIG welding contact tip engineered for the Velocity2a consumable system. It is optimized for 0.045 inch (1.2 mm) wire and handles a current range of 200 to 350 amps at 60 percent duty cycle. The Velocity design reduces the typical two or three thread sets found on standard MIG consumables down to a single set. That single-thread interface pairs brass threads against heat-treated stainless steel threads, a soft-on-hard combination that resists seizing, cross-threading, and loosening under heat and vibration. Licensed welding technicians and fabricators working in production or field environments will appreciate the no-tool installation.
This contact tip is intended for use within the Tweco Velocity2a MIG gun consumable system. It is suited for short-circuit, spray, and pulsed-spray transfer processes across the supported wire size range of 0.030 inch (0.8 mm) to 1/16 inch (1.6 mm), with peak performance at the 0.045 inch diameter. Typical applications include structural fabrication, light industrial manufacturing, and maintenance welding where fast consumable changes and reliable arc starts are required. The tip is sold individually with a minimum order quantity of 10 pieces.
Designed for use with the Tweco Velocity2a MIG gun consumable system. Verify gun model and nozzle thread compatibility before ordering.
Contact tip replacement is performed by MIG welding operators and maintenance technicians. Always disconnect welding power and allow the gun neck and nozzle to cool before handling consumables. Thread the tip in by hand; the brass thread design does not require a wrench and should not be overtightened. Inspect the nozzle bore and diffuser for spatter buildup at each tip change to maintain consistent gas coverage and arc stability.
