The TWECO 1160-1106 is a 16 Series Standard Heavy Duty MIG contact tip designed for 0.062 inch (1/16 inch) wire diameter with a 0.073 inch nominal bore ID and a 0.375 inch OD. At 1.5 inches in length, this tip is rated for welding applications up to 600 amps. It is machined from extruded or gun-drilled 122 DHP copper alloy tubing, delivering a consistent, smooth inside diameter surface held to a +/-0.003 inch tolerance. The thick-walled construction acts as a heat sink, conducting heat away from the arc source. Licensed welding technicians and MIG gun operators working in heavy industrial and fabrication environments are the primary installers of this consumable.
This contact tip is engineered for use with Tweco 350-600A Spray Master and Tweco No. 6 MIG guns, as well as compatible MIG gun series in that amperage range. It features a threaded M8 x 1.25-6g thread size that ensures solid contact with the gas diffuser when installed. The tip supports both slip-on and thread-on nozzle styles. A quarter-turn clockwise rotation reveals a new wear point once the original wear surface is spent, effectively doubling service life before the tip requires replacement. Each tip is marked with the part number and wire diameter for quick identification at the gun. This SKU is sold in a pack of 25 units.
Designed for use with Tweco 350-600A Spray Master MIG guns and Tweco No. 6 MIG guns, as well as compatible MIG gun series requiring an M8 x 1.25-6g threaded contact tip for 0.062 inch wire.
Contact tip replacement is performed by trained welding technicians or MIG gun operators. Always power down the welder and allow the gun to cool before removing a spent tip to prevent burns or electrical hazard. Thread the tip fully into the gas diffuser until seated, then verify the twist-lock engagement before resuming operation. Follow the gun manufacturer's service guidelines and applicable workplace safety codes when servicing MIG gun consumables.
