The TWECO 1160-1102 is a 16 Series Standard Heavy Duty MIG contact tip designed for 0.035 inch wire with a 0.044 inch nominal bore ID and a 0.375 inch OD. At 1.5 inches in length, this tip is machined from extruded or gun-drilled 122 DHP copper alloy tubing to deliver a consistent, smooth inside diameter surface held to a plus or minus 0.003 inch tolerance. The M8 x 1.25-6g thread size ensures a secure, proper fit against the gas diffuser. Rated for use in heavy-duty welding applications up to 600 amps, this tip is installed by licensed welding professionals and maintenance technicians in high-output MIG welding setups. Each tip is marked with the part number and wire diameter for fast identification in the field.
This contact tip is designed for use with 350 to 600 amp Tweco Spray Master and Tweco No.6 MIG guns, as well as compatible specific MIG gun series in that amperage range. It is suited for heavy-duty industrial and manufacturing welding environments where thermal load and electrical conductivity demand a robust consumable. The thick-walled copper alloy construction acts as a heat sink, drawing heat away from the arc source during high-amperage continuous welding. The tip accommodates both slip-on and thread-on nozzle styles. This item is sold as a pack of 25, making it practical for stocking a shop or field service truck.
Compatible with 350 to 600 amp Tweco Spray Master and Tweco No.6 MIG guns, as well as specific compatible MIG gun series in that amperage range. Accepts slip-on or thread-on nozzle styles. Thread size is M8 x 1.25-6g.
Installation is performed by qualified welding technicians or maintenance personnel. Always power down the welding system and allow the gun to cool before replacing contact tips. Thread the tip fully onto the gas diffuser by hand, then use the twist-lock feature to seat it firmly. Inspect the bore for wear regularly and rotate to a fresh wear point before replacing to maximize consumable life.
