The TWECO 1150-1212 is a heavy duty MIG welding contact tip from the 15H series, designed to carry welding current from the gun to the wire at the point of electrical contact. Built from extruded or gun-drilled 122 DHP copper alloy and machined from copper alloy tubing, this tip delivers a consistent, smooth inside diameter bore with a tolerance held to plus or minus 0.003 inches. Measuring 1.97 inches in length with a 5/16 inch-18 UNC-2A thread, it accommodates 1/8 inch wire and is rated for use up to 500 amps. Sold as a pack of 25, this tip suits high-amperage continuous welding environments where consumable longevity and consistent current transfer are critical.
This contact tip is engineered for use with 200 to 500 amp Tweco No. 5 MIG guns and compatible 15 series heavy duty MIG gun configurations. It is suited to heavy industrial and fabrication welding operations where extended run times, high heat, and consistent arc performance are required. The threaded style interfaces directly with a gas diffuser to ensure stable contact when the tip is installed. Compatible slip-on or thread-on nozzle styles in various bore diameter sizes can be paired with this tip, making it a practical choice for shops running high-duty-cycle MIG processes.
Designed for use with 200 to 500 amp Tweco No. 5 MIG guns and compatible Tweco 15H series heavy duty MIG gun configurations. Compatible with slip-on and thread-on nozzle styles.
Contact tips should be installed by a qualified welding technician or experienced MIG gun operator. Always power down the welding machine and allow the gun to cool before removing or installing a contact tip. Use appropriate hand tools to seat the threaded tip firmly against the gas diffuser without overtightening, which can deform the tip bore. Inspect the diffuser contact surface for wear or spatter buildup before installing a new tip.
