The TWECO 1140-1346 is a tapered MIG contact tip machined from copper alloy tubing for consistent current transfer and reliable wire feeding. Designed for use with Eliminator-style gas diffusers, it features a threaded connection that ensures proper seating when installed on a MIG gun. The inside diameter tolerance is held to plus or minus 0.003 inches, supporting stable arc performance and reduced wire drag. Sized for 1/16 inch wire diameter, this tip is sold individually and is suited for production welding environments where repeatable tip performance matters.
This contact tip is intended for MIG welding applications using 1/16 inch solid or flux-core wire. It is compatible with Eliminator-style gas diffusers and threaded MIG gun configurations. The tip is appropriate for both shop and field welding work across light industrial and fabrication settings. Each tip is clearly marked with the part number and wire diameter, making identification fast during changeover or multi-station setups.
Designed for use with Eliminator-style gas diffusers on threaded MIG gun configurations. Compatible with 1/16 inch wire diameter. Also available in twist lock Eliminator style for compatible gun setups.
Contact tip replacement is performed by licensed welding technicians or qualified fabricators. Power down and disconnect the MIG gun from the welder before removing or installing a contact tip. Thread the tip into the gas diffuser by hand until snug, then tighten to ensure consistent electrical contact — avoid over-tightening, which can distort threads and cause arcing at the connection. Inspect the diffuser threads and seating surface before installing a new tip.
