The TWECO 1110-1331 is a Velocity2a extended taper MIG contact tip designed for solid-wire MIG welding applications. Built from solid copper, it delivers a stable, low-spatter arc by maintaining consistent electrical contact along the wire path. The non-threaded, drop-in design eliminates the need for tools during tip changes, speeding up consumable replacement at the gun. At 0.030 inch bore diameter and approximately 1.61 inches in length, this tip is sized for light- to medium-gauge wire welding. Licensed welders and MIG gun technicians install and service this consumable as part of routine maintenance.
This contact tip fits into the Velocity2a drop-in tip system and is intended for use in MIG welding guns that accept non-threaded, extended taper tips. The centered liner geometry supports consistent wire feedability, reducing erratic arc behavior caused by off-center wire delivery. It is suited for production welding environments where fast tip changes and reduced downtime matter. Each tip can be rotated during service to distribute wear and extend usable life before replacement is needed.
Designed for use with MIG welding guns that accept Velocity2a non-threaded extended taper contact tips with a 0.030 inch wire diameter bore.
Installation is performed by welding technicians or equipment maintenance personnel. Disconnect or power down the MIG welding system before servicing the gun consumables. The drop-in tip requires no wrench or threading — insert and seat firmly into the tip holder. Inspect the tip holder and liner for wear at each tip change to ensure proper seating and wire alignment.
