The TWECO 1050-1115 is a 500-amp, air-cooled MIG welding gun designed for heavy-duty industrial fabrication. It operates at a 60% duty cycle and accommodates wire up to 1/16 inch. The gun connects via Tweco rear connection and ships with a 25-foot cable assembly. The conductor tube uses a three-layer metal-jacketed construction — copper tube inner core, silicon-resin glass insulator, and outer metal jacket — for consistent electrical conductivity under sustained load. The oval-shaped handle is balanced to pivot at center, reducing grip effort and operator fatigue during extended welding sessions. This gun is built for licensed welding professionals and industrial production environments.
The 1050-1115 is suited for heavy fabrication in automotive manufacturing, shipbuilding and offshore yards, steel industry production, and general industrial repair and maintenance work. Its 500-amp output and air-cooled design make it appropriate for high-amperage, semi-automatic MIG processes where extended arc-on time is common. The field-repairable Cablehoz design and split handle case allow in-shop repairs without full gun replacement, reducing downtime on production floors.
Front-end consumables are interchangeable between the Tweco Classic No. series and the Tweco Spray Master series. Accepts wire up to 1/16 inch diameter. Connects via standard Tweco rear connection.
Installation and setup should be performed by a qualified welding professional familiar with semi-automatic MIG equipment. Disconnect and de-energize the welding power source before attaching or servicing the gun and cable assembly. Verify that the wire feeder drive roll size matches the wire diameter being used before threading wire through the Cablehoz and contact tip. Follow applicable AWS and facility safety guidelines for MIG welding equipment setup and operation.
