The TWECO 1048-1250 is an air-cooled MIG welding gun rated at 450 amps with a 10-foot power cable and a Miller-style rear connection. Designed for demanding shop and production environments, this gun features a three-layer articulating conductor tube constructed from a copper tube, silicon resin fiberglass insulator, and a durable metal jacket. It accommodates wire sizes from 0.045 inches up to 1/16 inch and delivers a 60% duty cycle when used with CO2 gas. The cam-style, no-thread contact tip interface provides increased surface contact and extended consumable life. Licensed welding professionals and skilled maintenance technicians are the primary installers and operators of this equipment.
The 1048-1250 suits a wide range of welding applications including spray transfer and pulse welding modes using straight CO2 or mixed shielding gases. It is well suited for farm shops, maintenance and repair facilities, artistic metalworking, garage fabrication, and general production work. The fully insulated Mig-Kwik connection allows fast connect and disconnect at the wire feeder without removing the conduit. The 60-degree conductor tube swivels 360 degrees around the handle and can be removed and replaced rapidly in the field.
Designed for use with Miller-style wire feeders. Accepts wire sizes from 0.045 inches to 1/16 inch. Intended for spray transfer and pulse welding processes using CO2 or mixed shielding gases.
Installation and service should be performed by a qualified welding technician familiar with MIG equipment setup. Always disconnect and de-energize the wire feeder and welding power source before connecting or servicing the gun. Verify that the rear connection style matches the wire feeder before installation. Follow the welding equipment manufacturer guidelines and applicable workplace safety standards when routing and securing the power cable.
