The TWECO 1048-1210 Eliminator MIG gun is a professional-grade, air-cooled welding gun rated at 450 amps and designed for wire sizes from 0.035 to 0.045 inches. The 15-foot cable length gives welders room to maneuver on larger workpieces without repositioning the feeder. Dual spring and rubber strain reliefs on both ends protect the cable at high-flex points, while a Tweco-style rear connection ensures compatibility with existing setups. The articulating ball-and-socket conductor tube features three-layer construction — copper tube, silicon resin fiberglass insulator, and metal jacket — for durability under sustained duty cycles.
The 1048-1210 is built for shops, maintenance and repair operations, production environments, and field work where reliable wire feeding and extended gun life are priorities. It handles spray transfer and pulse welding modes and is compatible with straight CO2 or mixed shielding gases. Four trigger wires are included in the Cablehoz assembly. The rated duty cycle is 60 percent when using CO2 gas. Suitable for farm, garage, and light industrial applications as well as artistic metalworking and general shop jobs.
Designed for use with Tweco-style rear connection systems and Cablehoz assemblies. Accepts 0.035 to 0.045 inch wire and is compatible with spray transfer and pulse welding setups using straight CO2 or mixed shielding gases.
Installation and changeover should be performed by a qualified welding technician with the wire feeder and power source de-energized and the shielding gas supply shut off. Verify the rear connection style matches the existing feeder before fitting. The split-half handle design allows field repair of internal components without specialized tooling. Follow the equipment manufacturer's guidelines and applicable AWS or facility safety standards when placing the gun into service.
