The TWECO 1047-1052 is an air-cooled MIG gun rated at 400 amps and designed for light to medium duty fabrication work. It accommodates wire sizes up to 0.045 inches and delivers a 60% duty cycle when used with CO2 shielding gas. The gun features a three-layer conductor tube construction consisting of a copper tube, silicon-resin glass insulator, and metal jacket, providing durability under sustained industrial use. A 15-foot power cable supports consistent wire feedability, and the Euro-Kwik style rear connection simplifies hookup at the rear of the gun. Licensed welding professionals and fabrication shop technicians are the primary installers of this equipment.
This MIG gun is suited for a broad range of applications including farm and garage repair, maintenance and repair work, shop fabrication, artistic metalworking, and light production welding. The standard 60-degree conductor tube swivels 360 degrees around the handle, allowing repositioning without removing the conduit. The fully insulated Mig-Kwik connection at the wire feeder end enables fast connect and disconnect operations. The oval handle design reduces operator fatigue during extended use, making it practical for both hobby-level and production-level environments.
Designed as a replacement or upgrade MIG gun for wire feeders equipped with a Euro-Kwik style connection, compatible with standard front-end consumables for 400-amp air-cooled MIG gun configurations.
Installation and setup should be performed by a qualified welder or welding equipment technician. Disconnect and de-energize the welding power source before connecting or disconnecting the gun at the wire feeder. Ensure the Euro-Kwik rear connection is fully seated and the Mig-Kwik connection is properly locked before initiating a weld. Follow applicable AWS and OSHA guidelines for welding equipment setup and safe operation in the work environment.
