The TWECO 1047-1022 is an air-cooled MIG welding gun rated at 400 amps with a 25-foot cable, designed for solid wire up to 1/16 inch in diameter. It delivers a 60% duty cycle when used with CO2 shielding gas, making it a capable choice for sustained production and maintenance welding. The conductor tube is a three-layer construction consisting of a copper tube, silicon-resin glass insulator, and metal jacket, configured at 60 degrees with a 3-inch radius. A rear Lincoln-style connection is integrated into the design, and front and rear spring strain relief protects the cable at both termination points. Licensed welders and fabrication shop technicians are the primary installers and operators of this gun.
The 1047-1022 fits a broad range of welding applications including shop fabrication, maintenance and repair work, farm and garage use, artistic metalworking, and light-to-medium production runs. The oval handle shape is engineered to reduce operator fatigue during extended use. The split-half handle case allows field repair access without additional connectors, which is a practical advantage in production environments where downtime matters. The gun accepts a wide selection of front-end consumables, and heavy-duty contact tips are available for high-heat applications.
Designed for use with Lincoln welding machines via rear Lincoln connection. Accepts solid wire up to 1/16 inch in diameter. Compatible with a wide selection of Tweco front-end consumables including heavy-duty contact tips for high-heat applications.
Installation and setup should be performed by a qualified welder or welding equipment technician. Power down and disconnect the welding machine from its power source before attaching or servicing the gun or cable assembly. Inspect the strain relief, liner, and contact tip condition before placing the gun into service. Follow the welding machine manufacturer's guidelines and applicable AWS safety standards when configuring the gun for your process.
