The TWECO 1047-1019 is an air-cooled MIG welding gun rated at 400 amps and designed for solid wire up to 1/16 inch in diameter. Built on the Weldskill platform, it delivers a 60% duty cycle when used with CO2 shielding gas, making it well suited for sustained production welding and demanding shop environments. The conductor tube features a three-layer construction consisting of a copper tube, silicon-resin glass insulator, and metal jacket, oriented at 60 degrees with a 3-inch radius. Front and rear spring strain relief protects the cable connection at both ends, extending service life in high-cycle applications. A licensed electrician or certified welder performs the installation.
The 1047-1019 is built for a broad range of welding environments including fabrication shops, maintenance and repair operations, farm and agricultural settings, garage work, artistic metalworking, and light-to-moderate production runs. The 25-foot cable length provides working range without requiring repositioning of the wire feeder. The rear Miller-style connection allows direct fitting to compatible Miller wire feed units. Its high-impact-resistant handle and heavy-duty component construction make it appropriate for repeated daily use in industrial and semi-industrial settings.
Equipped with a rear Miller-style connection, this gun is designed for use with Miller wire feed welding equipment. Accepts solid wire up to 1/16 inch in diameter.
Installation and connection should be performed by a qualified welder or trained technician familiar with MIG welding equipment. Power down and disconnect the wire feeder from its power source before attaching or removing the gun. Inspect the cable, liner, and contact tip for wear before placing the gun into service. Follow the wire feeder manufacturer guidelines and applicable AWS or facility safety standards when setting up the gun.
