The TWECO 1044-1137 is a water-cooled MIG welding gun rated at 550 amps at 100% duty cycle with CO2 shielding gas, and 500 amps at 100% duty cycle with mixed gas. Built under the Fusion Pro 9W platform, it features an advanced dual cooling channel in the conductor tube that dissipates heat rapidly, extending front-end wear part life up to five times longer compared to gas-cooled guns. The 10-foot cable length gives welders working room in tight fabrication environments. This gun is sold as a single unit and is intended for installation and use by professional welders and fabricators in heavy industrial settings.
The 1044-1137 is suited for high-heat, continuous welding operations across shipbuilding, offshore yards, tank and vessel fabrication, general manufacturing, automotive body work, and aerospace fabrication. The Euro-Kwik connection adapts with most competitive wire feeders, making it a practical drop-in upgrade or replacement in existing setups. The wire diameter range of 0.035 to 1/16 inch covers the most common solid and flux-cored wire sizes used in heavy-duty MIG applications. The ergonomic handle design reduces fatigue during extended welding cycles.
Designed for use with wire feeders equipped with a Euro-Kwik connection. Compatible consumables include M6, M8, and M10 contact tips in ECu, CuCrZr, and aluminum ECu materials, as well as a range of gas nozzles and contact tip holders available as separate accessories.
Installation and service of water-cooled MIG guns should be performed by a qualified welding technician familiar with the wire feeder and water-cooling system in use. Before connecting or disconnecting the gun, shut off the welding power source, disconnect the water cooling supply and return lines, and depressurize the system. Verify that water flow rate and coolant type meet the gun manufacturer requirements before initiating a weld. Follow applicable workplace safety and electrical codes when working with high-amperage welding equipment.
