The TWECO 1044-1131 is a water-cooled MIG welding gun built for sustained high-amperage operation in demanding fabrication environments. Rated at 550 amps at 100% duty cycle with CO2 shielding gas and 500 amps at 100% duty cycle with mixed gas, this gun is engineered to handle continuous heavy-duty welding without thermal overload. The conductor tube features advanced dual cooling channels that accelerate heat dissipation, extending the service life of front-end wear parts by up to five times compared to standard gas-cooled guns. The gun ships at 7.85 pounds and accommodates wire diameters from 0.035 inches to 1/16 inch. It is intended for installation and use by professional welders and fabricators working in high-output production settings.
The 1044-1131 is suited for high-heat welding applications across a broad range of industries, including shipbuilding and offshore fabrication, tank and pressure vessel construction, general manufacturing, automotive body work, and aerospace fabrication. Its ergonomic handle design reduces operator fatigue during extended use, and consistent wire feeding performance is maintained even with softer wire types. The gun is designed to adapt with most competitive wire feeders, making it a practical fit in mixed-equipment shops. The 10-foot gun length provides workable reach in most heavy-duty fabrication stations.
Designed for use with Miller wire feeders and welders as noted in the product designation. Adapts with most competitive wire feeder systems. Accepts a range of M6, M8, and M10 contact tips and standard gas nozzle accessories for the Fusion Pro 9W platform.
Installation should be performed by a qualified welder or welding equipment technician familiar with water-cooled gun systems. Before connecting or disconnecting the gun, shut off the welding power source and relieve water-cooling circuit pressure. Verify that water supply and return connections are secure and leak-free before resuming welding operations. Follow the wire feeder and power source manufacturer guidelines for liner installation and gun attachment torque procedures.
