The TWECO 1040-1832 is a heavy-duty MIG welding gun built for high-amperage spray transfer applications. Rated at 450 amps and configured with a 12-foot cable, this gun ships ready to accept VELOCITY2 Medium and Heavy Duty consumables as part of the VELOCITY2 Spray Master series. The handle features a compact ergonomic design with an extended-length trigger, and the conductor tube is fully rotatable and constructed with a four-layer, thick-walled design including an outer high-temperature silicone layer. Connects via Euro-Kwik fitting. Intended for installation and use by professional welders and fabricators working in heavy-cycle environments.
This MIG gun is suited for demanding industrial settings including automotive fabrication, general metal fabrication, shipbuilding and offshore yard work, steel industry production, and repair and maintenance operations. The 450-amp capacity and 12-foot cable length make it appropriate for stationary and semi-stationary welding positions where longer reach and sustained duty cycles are required. The VELOCITY2 Spray Master series was designed to maintain the performance characteristics that defined the original Spray Master platform while introducing compatibility with the updated VELOCITY2 consumable line.
Designed for use with VELOCITY2 Medium and Heavy Duty consumables. Accepts wire up to 1/16 inch diameter. Connects to wire feeders equipped with a Euro-Kwik receptacle. Compatible with 250, 350, and 450 amp TWECO CABLEHOZ configurations.
Installation should be performed by a qualified welding technician or industrial electrician familiar with MIG welding equipment. Disconnect power to the wire feeder and ensure the shielding gas supply is shut off before connecting or disconnecting the gun. Verify that the Euro-Kwik fitting is fully seated and locked before initiating a weld. Follow the wire feeder manufacturer guidelines and applicable NFPA 70 requirements when routing and securing the cable.
