The TWECO 1040-1126 is a Professional No. 4 Classic Series air-cooled MIG gun rated at 400 amps with a 20-foot lead cable. It accommodates wire diameters from 0.035 to 0.045 inches and delivers a 60% duty cycle when used with CO2 shielding gas. The oval-shaped handle features a silver-plated trigger and is balanced to pivot at its center, reducing operator fatigue during extended use. A 60-degree metal jacket conductor tube swivels a full 360 degrees around the handle for positioning flexibility. The three-layer conductor tube construction — copper tube, silicon-resin glass insulator, and metal jacket — provides a reliable current path to the contact tip. Designed for semi-automatic welding in medium to heavy-duty fabrication environments.
This MIG gun is suited for medium and heavy-duty fabrication in industrial, shop, maintenance and repair, and production settings. The Miller-style rear connection integrates with compatible Miller wire feeders via a fully insulated Mig-Kwik connection for fast hookup and disconnection at the feeder. The split-half handle case allows field repair of the Cablehoz without additional connectors, making it practical for environments where minimizing downtime matters. Two ball-point screws secure the Cablehoz and conductor tube. A steel spring strain relief at the rear of the handle supports the Cablehoz exit point, reducing wire feed issues during operation.
Features a Miller-style rear connection for use with compatible Miller wire feeders. Front-end consumables are interchangeable with the Tweco Spray Master series and other Tweco Professional No. Series guns.
Installation and service of MIG welding equipment should be performed by a qualified welding technician following the equipment manufacturer's instructions and applicable workplace safety codes. Disconnect and lock out power to the wire feeder before connecting or disconnecting the gun cable. Verify that the Mig-Kwik connection is fully seated and the two ball-point screws are snug before initiating a weld. Inspect the conductor tube, Cablehoz, and contact tip for wear or damage before each use.
