The TWECO 1036-1726 is a Spray Master 350-amp compact light MIG gun designed for professional welding in demanding shop and production environments. It features a thick-walled, three-layer conductor tube that improves electrical conductivity and acts as a heat sink to manage front-end temperatures. The gun ships with Eliminator front-end consumables, including a heavy-duty thick-walled contact tip rated for wire up to 1/16 inch in diameter. A 15-foot power cable connects to the wire feeder via a fully insulated Lincoln drive-style connector. Air-cooled construction supports spray transfer and pulse welding with straight CO2 or mixed gases at an 80 percent duty cycle. Licensed welding professionals and certified fabricators are the primary installers.
The 1036-1726 suits a wide range of applications including production welding, maintenance and repair, shop fabrication, and artistic metalwork. The compact, ergonomic handle is balanced to pivot at its center, reducing operator fatigue across multiple welding positions. The extended trigger length keeps the operator hand away from the arc to limit radiated heat exposure. Front-end consumables are interchangeable with Tweco Classic No. Series guns, lowering inventory costs in shops running multiple gun models. The split-half handle case allows field repair without special tooling, making it practical for service environments where downtime is a concern.
Designed for use with Miller wire feeders via a Lincoln drive-style connection. Front-end consumables are interchangeable with Tweco Classic No. Series and Tweco Spray Master Series guns.
Installation should be performed by a qualified welding technician or certified fabricator familiar with MIG gun setup procedures. Shut down and de-energize the wire feeder before connecting or disconnecting the gun at the drive roll end. Inspect the liner, contact tip, and diffuser before first use and verify wire diameter compatibility does not exceed 1/16 inch. Follow the wire feeder manufacturer guidelines and applicable AWS and OSHA safety standards for MIG welding equipment setup.
