The TWECO 1036-1647 is a Spray Master 350-amp compact MIG gun designed for professional welding applications requiring high output and reliable wire feed. The gun accepts wire diameters from 0.045 inches to 1/16 inches and ships with a 15-foot power cable. A thick-walled, three-layer conductor tube increases electrical conductivity while acting as a heat sink to keep handle temperatures down during extended use. Rated at 80 percent duty cycle with mixed gases, this air-cooled gun is built for spray transfer and pulse welding operations where sustained arc performance is critical.
This gun is suited for fabrication shops, maintenance and repair operations, farm and fleet environments, and production welding where operator fatigue management matters. The compact, ergonomic handle is balanced to pivot at its center, allowing comfortable repositioning across multiple welding positions. The extended trigger keeps the operator's hand farther from the arc, reducing radiated heat exposure during long runs. A steel spring strain relief at the rear of the handle supports the cable to minimize wire feed problems. The fully insulated Lincoln drive style connection provides quick connect and disconnect at the wire feeder, reducing changeover time.
Designed for use with Lincoln drive style wire feeders. Front-end consumables are interchangeable with Tweco Classic No. Series and Tweco Spray Master Series guns. Optional mechanical locking trigger configuration is identified by an LC suffix in the part number.
Installation of MIG gun assemblies should be performed by a qualified welding equipment technician or trained operator. Power down the wire feeder and disconnect from the power source before connecting or disconnecting the gun. Verify that the drive roll configuration at the feeder matches the wire diameter being used. Follow the wire feeder manufacturer's connection torque and seating requirements for the drive connection to ensure proper electrical contact and avoid overheating at the connection point.
