The TWECO 1036-1623 is an air-cooled MIG welding gun rated at 350 amps, designed for spray transfer and pulse welding applications. It accepts wire sizes from 0.045 to 1/16 inches and features a thick-walled, three-layer conductor tube that improves electrical conductivity and acts as a heat sink to protect front-end components. The 15-foot power cable connects to the wire feeder via a fully insulated Euro-Kwik drive-style connector, allowing fast connect and disconnect without tools. The compact, ergonomic handle is balanced to pivot at its center, reducing operator fatigue across multiple welding positions. Licensed welders and production shops install this gun in demanding, high-duty-cycle environments.
The 1036-1623 is suited for fabrication shops, maintenance and repair operations, and production welding environments where spray transfer or pulse welding with straight CO2 or mixed shielding gases is standard. Its 80 percent duty cycle rating with mixed gases supports extended continuous use. The split-half handle case allows field repairs without returning the gun to a service center, and the interchangeable front-end consumables are compatible with Tweco Classic No. Series and Tweco Spray Master Series components, reducing the number of consumable SKUs a shop needs to stock.
Compatible with Tweco Classic No. Series and Tweco Spray Master Series front-end consumables. Designed for use with wire feeders equipped with a Euro-Kwik drive-style connection. Accepts wire diameters from 0.045 to 1/16 inches. Rated for straight CO2 or mixed shielding gases.
Installation should be performed by a qualified welding technician familiar with MIG gun assembly and wire feeder setup. Disconnect and de-energize the wire feeder before connecting or disconnecting the Euro-Kwik fitting. Verify that the liner size matches the wire diameter in use before threading wire through the gun. Inspect the strain relief and Cablehoz connection at the rear of the handle during routine maintenance to prevent wire feed irregularities.
