The TWECO 1031-1637 is a 350-amp flux-cored MIG gun designed for use with all gasless wires, making it a reliable choice for self-shielded flux-cored welding applications. Built for heavy-duty industrial use, the gun features a one-piece impact-resistant handle that allows the welder to position the trigger at the top or bottom for ergonomic comfort. The metal paddle-style trigger lever uses a micro-switch design for precise start and stop wire feed control. Spare trigger leads are stored inside the cable housing, keeping them protected and ready. The gun accepts wire sizes from 0.030 to 0.035 inches and is rated at 60 percent duty cycle when used with CO2 gas.
The TWECO 1031-1637 is suited for demanding environments including shipyards, offshore platforms, steel fabrication, industrial and general fabrication, and automotive repair and maintenance work. Its heavy-duty front-end consumables and abrasion- and heat-resistant power cable make it a durable tool for continuous production welding. The replaceable conduit and four trigger lead wires simplify field servicing, reducing downtime. Licensed welders and professional fabricators working in high-output settings will find this gun well-suited to long shifts and varied base materials.
Designed as a replacement or upgrade flux-cored MIG gun compatible with standard gasless flux-cored welding setups. Front-end consumables are interchangeable with other leading flux-cored gun designs per manufacturer data.
Installation and setup should be performed by a qualified welder or welding equipment technician. Power down and de-energize the welding power source before connecting or disconnecting the gun cable. Verify that the wire drive roll size matches the wire diameter being used. Follow all applicable AWS and manufacturer guidelines for gun liner and consumable inspection intervals.
