The TWECO 1030-1102 Eliminator MIG gun is a 12-foot, air-cooled welding gun rated at 300 amps and designed for wire diameters from 0.035 to 0.045 inches. It operates at a 60% duty cycle using CO2 gas and is built for demanding shop and production environments where uptime and repairability matter. The gun features a ball-and-socket articulating conductor tube with three-layer construction — copper tube, silicon resin fiberglass insulator, and metal jacket — giving it both flexibility and durability. A Miller-style rear connection simplifies integration with compatible wire feeders and power sources. Four trigger wires and dual spring and rubber strain reliefs on both ends round out the core mechanical design.
The 1030-1102 is suited for a wide range of welding applications including spray transfer and pulse welding modes using straight CO2 or mixed shielding gases. Typical use cases include maintenance and repair, fabrication shop work, farm and garage welding, artistic metalwork, and light-to-medium production runs. The ergonomic handle design reduces operator fatigue during extended use, and the extended trigger length limits radiated heat reaching the operator's gloved hand. Field repairability is a central design priority, with a split-half handle case and mechanical cable connections for Cablehoz access without specialized tools.
The 1030-1102 uses a Miller-style rear connection and is compatible with wire feeders and power sources accepting that connection style. Consumables and conductor tube components are part of the TWECO Eliminator series platform.
MIG gun installation and replacement should be performed by a qualified welding technician or maintenance professional. Power down and de-energize the welding power source before connecting or disconnecting the gun. Verify the rear connector is fully seated and secured before resuming operation. Inspect strain reliefs, trigger leads, and the conductor tube for wear or damage at each service interval.
