The TWECO 1028-1112 is an air-cooled MIG welding gun built for wire diameters of 0.040 to 0.045 inches and rated at 250 amps at 60% duty cycle using CO2 gas. At 15 feet in cable length, this Eliminator-series gun is suited for production and maintenance welding where the operator needs reach without sacrificing control. The ergonomic handle reduces fatigue during extended use, and the ball-and-socket articulating conductor tube allows the gun neck to move with the weld position. Dual spring and rubber strain reliefs are fitted at both ends of the cable assembly, protecting the connection points from flex fatigue over time.
This gun is designed for a broad range of welding environments including fabrication shops, farm and garage settings, maintenance and repair operations, and production welding lines. It supports spray transfer and pulse welding modes and is compatible with straight CO2 or mixed shielding gases. The Tweco-style rear connection makes it a direct fit for machines already running Tweco-compatible components. Four trigger wires are included in the Cablehoz assembly, supporting field repair without a full cable replacement.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or upgrade MIG gun for wire feeders using a Tweco-style rear connection, compatible with machines set up for 250A air-cooled MIG guns accepting 0.040 to 0.045 inch wire.
Installation and service of MIG welding guns should be performed by a qualified welding technician or electrician familiar with NFPA 70E electrical safety procedures. Disconnect and de-energize the wire feeder and welding power source before connecting or disconnecting the gun rear connector. Verify that the contact tip size matches the wire diameter in use before initiating a weld. Do not exceed the rated duty cycle, as sustained operation beyond 60% with CO2 gas can cause overheating of the cable assembly.
