The TWECO 1027-1061 is an air-cooled MIG welding gun rated at 250 amps with a 15-foot cable, designed for professional welding applications across industrial and shop environments. It accepts wire sizes up to 0.045 inches and delivers a 60% duty cycle when used with CO2 gas, making it suitable for sustained production welding. The gun features a 60-degree metal-jacketed conductor tube with a 3-inch radius and a Miller-style rear connection. A three-layer conductor tube construction — copper tube, silicon-resin glass insulator, and metal jacket — provides durable heat management for demanding work cycles. Licensed welding technicians and fabricators install and service this gun in production and maintenance settings.
The 1027-1061 is suited for a wide range of applications including production welding, maintenance and repair, farm and garage work, shop fabrication, and artistic metalworking. The Miller-style rear connection makes it compatible with Miller wire feeders. The Mig-Kwik fully insulated connection allows the gun to be connected or disconnected at the wire feeder quickly. The Knucklehead conductor tube swivels 360 degrees around the handle and can be removed and replaced rapidly without removing the conduit, reducing downtime during front-end consumable changes.
Designed for use with Miller-style wire feeders. The rear connection follows Miller-style configuration as specified by the manufacturer. Verify feeder inlet and liner compatibility before installation.
This gun is installed by qualified welding technicians or experienced fabricators familiar with MIG wire feeder systems. Before connecting or disconnecting the gun, power down the wire feeder and verify the welding circuit is de-energized. The Mig-Kwik connection and conductor tube can be serviced in the field using the split-half handle; follow the manufacturer service guide for liner and contact tip replacement. Ensure all connections are fully seated and the strain relief springs are properly engaged before resuming operation.
