The TWECO 1027-1057 is an air-cooled MIG welding gun rated at 250 amps with a 15-foot cable, designed for industrial and light production welding environments. It accepts wire diameters up to 0.045 inches and delivers a 60 percent duty cycle when used with CO2 shielding gas. The gun features a three-layer conductor tube construction consisting of a copper tube, silicon-resin glass insulator, and metal jacket, angled at 60 degrees with a 3-inch radius. A fully insulated Euro-Kwik connection at the rear allows fast connect and disconnect at the wire feeder without tools. Licensed welding professionals and experienced shop technicians are the primary installers.
This gun is suited for a wide range of applications including farm and garage maintenance, metal fabrication shops, production welding, and artistic metalworking. The Euro-style rear connection with front and rear spring strain relief makes it a practical fit for wire feeders equipped with Euro-style receptacles. The conductor tube swivels 360 degrees around the handle and can be rapidly removed and replaced without pulling the conduit, reducing downtime during consumable changes. It is commonly deployed in shop jobs, maintenance and repair applications, and light-to-medium production settings.
Designed for use with wire feeders equipped with a Euro-style connection receptacle; accepts MIG wire up to 0.045 inches in diameter. Compatible with a wide selection of standard front-end consumables including contact tips and nozzles designed for this gun platform.
Installation and setup should be performed by a qualified welding technician or industrial maintenance professional familiar with MIG welding equipment. Disconnect and de-energize the wire feeder before connecting or disconnecting the gun at the feeder receptacle. Verify shielding gas supply is shut off before servicing the conductor tube or front-end consumables. Follow applicable OSHA and manufacturer safety guidelines for welding equipment installation and operation.
