The TWECO 1027-1030 is a 250-amp, air-cooled MIG welding gun built for professional welding applications across industrial, maintenance, and production environments. The gun accepts wire diameters up to 0.045 inches and delivers a 60% duty cycle rating when used with CO2 shielding gas. It features a three-layer conductor tube construction consisting of a copper tube, silicon-resin glass insulator, and a metal jacket, with a 60-degree angle and a 3-inch radius. The Miller-style rear connection makes it a direct-fit replacement for compatible wire feeders. Front and rear spring strain relief protect the cable assembly from flexing damage at high-wear connection points. Licensed welders and skilled fabricators handling moderate- to heavy-duty MIG applications are the primary users of this gun.
The 1027-1030 is suited for a wide range of welding scenarios including shop fabrication, production welding, maintenance and repair, and light industrial work. The 10-foot cable length provides working room in fixed-position and semi-mobile setups. The oval handle is designed to reduce operator fatigue during extended use sessions. Applications listed for this gun include farm equipment repair, garage work, artistic metalworking, shop jobs, and general maintenance and repair.
Designed with a Miller-style rear connection for use with compatible Miller wire feeders. Accepts standard front-end consumables in the Tweco Weldskill series.
Installation and servicing should be performed by a qualified welder or welding equipment technician. Power down and disconnect the wire feeder from its power source before connecting or disconnecting the gun. Verify that the rear connection style and wire feeder output rating are compatible before use. Follow all applicable AWS and OSHA welding safety guidelines, and ensure the work area is properly ventilated when using CO2 or mixed shielding gas.
