The TWECO 1026-1138 is a water-cooled fume extraction MIG gun designed for professional welding applications where fume control at the weld source is critical. Part of the Centrovac 420Cw series, this gun uses high-flow water cooling to remove smoke and airborne particulates generated during the weld process. The 15-foot cable length provides working range for most fabrication setups. The gun handles wire diameters from 0.039 inches through 0.0625 inches (1/16 inch) and suits light-, medium-, and heavy-duty MIG welding work. It is installed and operated by professional welders and welding technicians in industrial and shipyard environments.
This gun is suited for demanding production environments including ship and offshore yards, tank and vessel fabrication, aerospace manufacturing, transportation fabrication, and general manufacturing. The back-end design adapts to most competitive wire feeders and power sources, making it a practical drop-in for existing setups. The water-cooled front end allows consumables to cool more rapidly, extending consumable life up to three to five times longer than standard air-cooled guns. High-volume fume extraction at the weld source reduces ambient smoke, improving welder visibility and production uptime.
Designed for use with most competitive wire feeders and power sources via the multi-connection back-end design. Accepts wire diameters from 0.039 inches through 0.0625 inches. Compatible with external fume extraction systems; optimal extraction performance requires an appropriately matched vacuum system for the weld application.
Installation and setup should be performed by a qualified welding technician familiar with water-cooled MIG gun systems. Disconnect and de-energize the welding power source and shut off the water cooling supply before connecting or disconnecting the gun. Verify all water fittings are secure and leak-free before resuming operation. Connect the fume extraction hose to an appropriate vacuum extraction unit rated for the application before use.
