The TWECO 1026-1133 is a water-cooled fume extraction MIG gun designed to capture welding fumes directly at the weld source. Built around the Centrovac 420C platform, it connects to an external fume extraction system and removes over 95% of smoke and particulate when paired with the correct extraction setup. The water-cooled design allows front-end consumables to cool rapidly, extending consumable life up to three to five times longer than comparable air-cooled guns. The gun accommodates wire diameters from 0.039 inches to 0.0625 inches and features a 10-foot lead length. Licensed welders and fabricators performing production MIG welding in environments with strict air-quality requirements are the primary installers and operators.
This gun suits light-, medium-, and heavy-duty MIG welding applications across a wide range of industries and fabrication settings. Typical deployment scenarios include shipyards and offshore yards, tank and vessel fabrication shops, aerospace manufacturing, transportation fabrication, and general manufacturing environments where fume control is required. The rear connection is designed to adapt to most competitive wire feeders and power sources, making integration into existing weld cells straightforward. Optional fume shrouds are available separately to optimize extraction rates for specific joint configurations and positions.
Designed for use with most competitive wire feeders and power source connections; compatible with wire diameters from 0.039 inches to 0.0625 inches. Specific feeder or power source compatibility should be confirmed against the Centrovac 420C connection options available for this gun.
Installation and setup should be performed by a qualified welding technician or certified welder familiar with fume extraction equipment. Power down and de-energize the welding power source before connecting or disconnecting the gun from the feeder. Verify that the extraction system flow rate is appropriate for the weld application before operating to avoid over-extracting shielding gas. Consult applicable workplace safety and ventilation codes, including OSHA 29 CFR 1910.252 welding ventilation requirements, when setting up fume extraction systems.
