The TWECO 1023-1287 is an air-cooled MIG gun rated at 250 amps with a 60 percent duty cycle, designed for GMAW, FCAW, and aluminum GMAW applications. It ships with VELOCITY2 front-end consumables pre-assembled and connects via a Euro-Kwik style connector for quick, tool-free hookup. The 12-foot cable length gives welders working room in light to medium-duty fabrication environments. Gas-ported contact tips are integrated into the VELOCITY2 consumable system, running cooler and lasting longer than conventional tips. This gun is built for professional welders who need consistent arc stability and fast consumable changes at the torch end.
This MIG gun is suited for light to medium-duty fabrication work in shop and field settings. It handles solid wire in the 0.035 to 0.045 inch diameter range as well as flux-cored wire, making it versatile across carbon steel, stainless, and aluminum GMAW processes. The Euro-Kwik connector allows fast disconnect from compatible wire feeders. It uses a 42 Series conduit liner and a standard conductor tube (1240-1374), both common stock items for field service. Welding professionals in metal fabrication, structural, and maintenance-and-repair operations are the primary users.
Designed for use with wire feeders equipped with a Euro-Kwik style connector. Uses 42 Series conduit liner and standard conductor tube 1240-1374. Wire diameter range is 0.035 to 0.045 inches.
Installation should be performed by a qualified welding professional or certified technician. Power down and de-energize the wire feeder before connecting or disconnecting the gun cable. Verify that the conduit liner size matches the wire diameter in use before feeding wire through the system. Follow the wire feeder manufacturer guidelines and applicable AWS safety standards when setting up the gun and routing the cable to avoid sharp bends that reduce liner and cable life.
