The TWECO 1023-1279 is an air-cooled MIG gun rated at 250 amps with a 60 percent duty cycle, designed for GMAW, FCAW, and aluminum GMAW applications. Part of the VELOCITY2a Spray Master V250 series, it ships with a 25-foot cable and connects via Tweco-style connector. The gun comes pre-assembled with VELOCITY2 front-end consumables, including gas-ported contact tips that run cooler and extend service life. It is suited for light to medium-duty fabrication environments where consistent arc stability and reliable wire feed are required. Licensed welding professionals and fabrication shop technicians are the primary installers and users.
This MIG gun is intended for light to medium-duty fabrication work where GMAW, FCAW, or aluminum GMAW processes are used. The 25-foot cable length gives the operator flexibility across standard fab table and fixture setups. The Tweco-style connector makes it compatible with a wide range of wire feed units that accept that interface. The VELOCITY2 contact tip system uses a threadless, tool-free design that reduces downtime during tip changes on the shop floor or in field fabrication scenarios. The included 42-series conduit liner and standard conductor tube (1240-1374) are ready for immediate use out of the box.
Designed for use with wire feeders equipped with a Tweco-style connector. Compatible with GMAW, FCAW, and aluminum GMAW processes. Includes standard conductor tube 1240-1374 and 42-series conduit liner. Wire diameter range is 0.035 to 0.045 inches.
Installation and setup should be performed by a qualified welding technician familiar with GMAW equipment and applicable AWS and OSHA safety standards. De-energize and disconnect the wire feeder from its power source before connecting or disconnecting the gun. Verify that the liner, contact tip, and nozzle are fully seated before initiating a weld. Inspect the cable assembly and insulation for wear or damage prior to each use.
