The TWECO 1023-1108 is a Spray Master Series air-cooled MIG gun rated at 250 amps and designed for spray transfer and pulse welding applications. It accepts wire sizes from 0.035 to 0.045 inches and comes with a 25-foot cable. The gun features an 80% duty cycle rating when used with argon/CO2 or mixed gases, making it well suited for sustained production welding. A compact, ergonomic handle reduces operator fatigue during extended use. The standard 60-degree conductor tube swivels 360 degrees around the handle and can be removed and replaced without pulling the conduit, which keeps downtime low during maintenance.
This MIG gun is appropriate for a wide range of welding environments including fabrication shops, maintenance and repair operations, farm and garage settings, and production lines. It connects to the wire feeder through a rear Tweco connection with a fully insulated Mig-Kwik connector, allowing fast connect and disconnect at the feeder without tools. The gun is field repairable through a split-half handle case, and its front-end consumables are interchangeable with Tweco Classic No. Series guns, reducing spare parts inventory. Applications include spray transfer, pulse welding, and straight CO2 or mixed-gas processes.
Front-end consumables are interchangeable with Tweco Classic No. Series and Tweco Spray Master Series guns. Connects to wire feeders via rear Tweco connection with Mig-Kwik plug. An optional mechanical locking trigger version is available identified by the LC suffix on the part number.
Installation and setup should be performed by a qualified welding technician familiar with MIG welding equipment. Disconnect and de-energize the wire feeder before connecting or servicing the gun. Verify the rear plug connection is fully seated and the Mig-Kwik connector is locked before initiating a weld. Follow the wire feeder and power source manufacturer guidelines along with applicable AWS and NFPA 70E safety standards when routing and securing the cable assembly.
