The TWECO 1020-1123 is a professional No. 2 Series air-cooled MIG gun rated at 200 amps with a 15-foot lead cable. It accommodates wire sizes from 0.040 to 0.045 inches and is designed for semi-automatic MIG welding in medium fabrication environments. The gun delivers a 60% duty cycle when used with CO2 shielding gas. Key construction features include a 3-layer conductor tube, a 60-degree metal jacket conductor tube that swivels a full 360 degrees around the handle, and a fully insulated Mig-Kwik connection for quick hookup and disconnect at the wire feeder. The oval-shaped handle is balanced to pivot at its center, reducing grip fatigue during extended use.
This gun is suited for a broad range of applications including shop fabrication, maintenance and repair, farm and garage work, production welding, and artistic metalwork. The Tweco-style rear connection and fully insulated front-end Mig-Kwik fitting make it compatible with standard Tweco-style wire feeders. The 15-foot lead provides good wire feedability across typical bench and positional welding setups. A bottom-mounted gun hanger allows easy resting between passes. The heavy-duty, high-impact crush-resistant handle and steel spring strain relief on the Cablehoz exit point are built for daily industrial use.
Designed for use with Tweco-style wire feeders using the Tweco-style rear connection. Front-end consumables follow the No. 2 Series standard, with a wide selection of contact tips, nozzles, and liners available to match specific application requirements.
Installation and service of MIG welding guns should be performed by qualified welding technicians or personnel familiar with GMAW equipment. Disconnect and de-energize the wire feeder and welding power source before making or breaking any gun connections. Verify that the Mig-Kwik connection is fully seated and that both ball-point screws are tight before resuming operation. Follow the equipment manufacturer guidelines and applicable AWS or facility safety standards when routing and securing the lead cable.
