The TWECO 1010-1124 is a Professional No. 1 Classic Series air-cooled MIG gun rated at 180 amps with a 60% duty cycle using CO2 gas. It accepts wire sizes from 0.040 to 0.045 inches and comes with a 20-foot lead cable featuring a Tweco-style rear connection for solid wire feedability. The oval-shaped, high-impact crush-resistant handle is balanced to pivot at its center, reducing operator fatigue during extended use. A 60-degree neoprene-insulated quick-change conductor tube rotates a full 360 degrees around the handle, and the fully insulated Mig-Kwik connection allows fast connect and disconnect at the wire feeder. Licensed welding professionals and fabricators use this gun across semi-automatic MIG welding setups.
The 1010-1124 suits a wide range of applications including light-duty fabrication, farm and garage work, job shops, artistic metalworking, and maintenance and repair operations. Its Tweco-style components are interchangeable with the Tweco Spray Master series and Tweco Professional No. Series front-end consumables, which lowers inventory carrying costs for shops running multiple guns. The gun ships fully tested and ready for service. A patent-pending design makes it easy to maneuver across multiple welding positions, and a steel spring strain relief at the rear of the handle supports the Cablehoz to minimize wire feed issues.
Front-end consumables are interchangeable between the Tweco Spray Master series and Tweco Professional No. Series. An adapter plug is required for wire feeder connection.
Installation and setup should be performed by a qualified welding professional following applicable AWS and OSHA safety guidelines. Power down and de-energize the wire feeder before connecting or disconnecting the Mig-Kwik connection at the feeder. Verify that the conductor tube is fully seated and secured with both ball-point screws before initiating a weld. Always confirm proper shielding gas supply and connections before operation.
