The TUTCO RHGA153240V is a 15 kW electric heat strip designed for close-coupled duct heater applications in RHGA Series Rheem air handling units. Rated at 3 phase, 240 volts, this unit delivers resistance heating directly within the supply air stream. It carries ARL Listing under L/N 29707 and is built with zero clearance construction, allowing installation in tight mechanical spaces. A built-in fan interlocking relay ensures the heating elements energize only when airflow is confirmed, protecting the assembly from overheating. The hinged and latched cover simplifies field access for inspection and service. This unit is installed by licensed HVAC technicians working on commercial or residential forced-air heating systems.
The RHGA153240V is engineered as a matched electric heat strip for RHGA Series Rheem units, making it a factory-compatible add-on or replacement heater for these air handlers. It fits within a 20-inch by 20-inch plenum section. Primary and secondary thermal protection are built in, reducing the need for additional external safety controls. Single point line connection is available upon request, simplifying wiring when field conditions require it. An air pressure switch option is also available upon request, adding an additional layer of airflow verification before the elements are energized.
Designed for use with RHGA Series Rheem air handling units and fits a 20-inch by 20-inch plenum section.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician in accordance with applicable local electrical codes and NEC requirements for electric heating equipment. Disconnect and lock out all electrical power to the air handler before accessing the heat strip or making any wiring connections. Verify airflow is established and the fan interlocking relay is correctly wired before energizing the heating elements. Single point line connection and air pressure switch options should be specified at time of order if required by the installation design.
