The TUTCO CP-050A00-10F1 is a 10.0 kilowatt open-coil electric duct heater assembly rated for 240 volt single phase 60 Hz power. Part of the E-Series line, this unit is built for forced-air duct system integration and is designed for installation by licensed HVAC technicians. The housing is constructed from galvanized G90 steel at a minimum thickness of 0.034 inches. Safety protection includes an automatic primary high-limit thermal cutout and a secondary manual-reset high-limit device. A magnetic contactor is provided per stage or per 48-amp circuit. A control terminal board, copper ground lugs, and an airflow proving switch are all included in the assembly.
This duct heater is intended for horizontal installation in compatible HVAC duct systems. The symmetrical, flippable duct configuration allows flexible field orientation during installation. Maximum allowable discharge air temperature is 148 degrees F. Heat density limits are 30 kW per square foot for EDH and RHE models and 16.5 kW per square foot for EVH and ERH models. Wiring must use 90 degrees C rated copper conductors. This unit is suited for residential and light commercial forced-air applications where supplemental or primary electric heat is required in a ducted system.
Designed for horizontal installation in compatible forced-air HVAC duct systems; suitable for EDH, RHE, EVH, and ERH model configurations as specified by the manufacturer. Requires 90 degrees C rated copper conductors for field wiring.
Installation must be performed by a qualified HVAC technician in accordance with NEC requirements and applicable local codes. Disconnect and lock out all electrical power to the duct system before beginning installation or servicing this heater. Confirm adequate airflow through the duct section before energizing the unit, as the airflow proving switch must be satisfied for operation. Verify that field wiring is sized appropriately for the circuit amperage and uses 90 degrees C rated copper conductors as required.
